Can I use a rectangle magnent in my trans pan or do I need to use the round one, which I seem to have lost.

I just can not find a round magnent anywhere!!!

I just buy a strong "rare earth?" magnet at the hardware store. You can even stick it on the outside of the pan. I stick them on a rear facing surface so they can't get swept off by anything passing under the vehicle. I don't think there is anything special about the donut magnets.

sometimes there's a bump in the pan they go on, other than that any will work.
