Is there a way to modify the MSD E-Curve SB dist so it can be used in a BB 383? Is there an adapter or kit of some kind that takes a SB dist to a BB compatable? I know you can use the spacer set up to go from the RB to B's but what about from SB to BB? I really like that E-Curve dist but they don't make one for the B motors!! Thanks, Mike

Smallblock is very close in size to a 440 distributor but it is designed to spin in the opposite direction so the problem would be wit hthe mechanical advance. I'd have to see one to see if parts could be changed around.
But I agree , they should be making these for BB 's
Damn, sounds like it's to likely to make one work
I spoke to MSD this morning........ I assume they are making them for the race guys that mainly run SB Chrysler.
Are there any other brands that are making a digital dist for the BB?

We run this setup on Tim's 427 and haven't seen any issues. I really like the e-curve. I don't know why they don't make a big block version. It would out sell the small block version by 5x. I asked MSD why they don't sell a big block version and they just said it was on the list of things to do someday.
Per MSD, the early versions like AndyF have worked with the Solid State coil that is pictured above. But the newer version do not. As of the 2011 SEMA show, the SS coils did not work with E-Curves.

Anyone know what the time frame is with MSD making these for the BB.....if ever?
Also, does anyone else make a similar one with the same features for the BB?
timeframe ... someday ...
If someone made one like it then there would be little need for it and it would only make someday become some year.

I think everyone who would buy one needs to contact MSD and tell them. I'd buy one, and I intend on telling them that. Travis..
EDIT, just tryed to contact them and couldn't find a contact email. I just registered on their forum and will post up a thread about a BB e-curve in their suggestion forum when my acct is activated.

I just talked to an MSD Tech guy and he says the E-Curve will definitely function properly spinning in the opposite direction of it's intended use. He also have me the P/N for the 8545 ready to run shaft instead of buying an entire dist. So, I am going to pick up the SB E and the BB shaft and figure out a way to mate them properly I'll report back once I get it figured out..........

Seems like a step in wrong direction?
