I was talking with someone yesterday and expressing my frustrations with getting my engine running right at idle.. told him about my set up, and he mentioned that he had heard some people were having problems with weak spark at idle on the Pertronix Ignitor units. I did some Googling, and this does seem to be a semi-common problem. How can I check to see if my ignition system is strong enough at idle? Would love to find out that this is my problem.

They sell these all over, you could probably find one at a yard sale too.

I did back to back comprison with my stock dizzy and box, then with the pertronix dizzy. Everytime the pertronix dizzy would not idle correct. Same timing.
