My 65 Dodge is ready for paint and before I send it to the body shop I was laying out the fender emblems, and noticed from some photos that the passenger side "Coronet 440"emblem appears to be a couple inches closer to the edge of the front fender than the one on the driver side. The driver side fender is original ,but the passenger side is a replacement and had holes for a 500 emblem and the holes for the Coronet 440 emblem put the edge of the 440 a couple inches closer to the front. Is this correct or should the end of the emblems be the same distance from the edge of the front fender, which is about 6 inches on the driver side?

Try looking around here. Go under Dodge and then they have a bunch of 65 Dodge brochures. Ron

The Coronet 500 emblem is placed behind the wheel opening, the 440 model emblem is at the front. Here's RF base model Coronet.

Interstingly, I have an old Chrysler ad for the 65 Coronet 500 and the fender script is in the position of the 440 model. Maybe a pre-production model.

BULLit is correct though.

I agree ,the 500 had the emblem at the rear of the fender and the 440 in front. My concern was the dimension that the letters or numbers ended up from the front of the fender. I looked at a Coronet 440 for sale on Ebay and there is one that had pics of both fenders and the driver's side the "440" ends up closer to the front of the fender than the "c" does on the driver side.Case solved. Thanks.
