Coming closer to the end of my F2 Procharger build but am stuck on wiring. The YO catalog suggests using a points style wiring harness if using aftermarket electronic ignition, so i picked one up. I have the 100 amp alt fm tuffstuff and my igniton is a MSD Dig 7 with HVC 2 coil.My question is how do we wire up the alt and volt reg using this points style harness?
Theres no reason you nee the one wire reg... factory big alt had the electronic type reg... here is a diagram for a new reg

don't run that 100 amp through the factory bulk head at the fire wall.....look into what I'm saying, if you haven't already.
Yeah... but as soon as it lets the smoke out it would be fine...LOL... depending on what your doing with the car you would most likely be running the output lead to the back of the car so you would be by passing the bulkhead

mike It's the elect one (blue) race 13.5 constant 2 pin. Just wondering what wires to hook up to alt which ones to splice for reg.
If you look at the diagram I put up you can see where the wires go.. you can use either wire and it will work either way... just need a sense wire(hot with the ignition on)and the other wire goes to the reg from the alt... sorry that pic is blurred

This must be a drag car only. It will overcharge the battery on extended street use.
The factory alternator main wire is too small for 100 amps and is routed directly routed through the bulkhead to the amp guage and then back out to the starter relay.
It sounds like you are aware that is bad, and will bypass the amp gauge by bolting both wires to one side of the gauge and supplement the alternator power distribution with a fusible link protected cable.
Under the hood, add a larger cable with a fusible link directly from the alternator output to the starter relay, and then you can use that relay stud as the distribution point for your high current accessory items, ignition, fuel pump etc.
Use fusible links leading out on all those wires.
Consider adding relays for things you need to turn on and off that need that high current flow.

That's how mine is wired with the same 100 Amp alternator.
Kev, There is enough leftover wire & fusible link to do yours
