Well i got my Indy Modman yesterday,fitted straight away
Thanks to BG Racing for his help and information as to his experience.
thanks to Promax for the supply of the kit and all extras.
Now to see the dyno this afternoon and racing at the Nitro Championships this weekend.
Will post dyno later today if possible

I hope tuning goes well for you! I spent a lot of time with the dual Edelbrock 600's and CH-28 on one of mine. Getting the right fuel curve on them is not as hard as a lot of people will tell you.

it is the same height as my M1 single plane.stock port size.heaps of room to my six pack scoop,so much i will use 2 air cleaners stacked-Edelbrock #1235.there are no spacers under the carbs.
just finished modifying my fresh air box with a mate.
will try to get some better pics later.
Dunnuck - i am hoping with 1:1 linkage there should be little problem setting the carbs,i have done a couple so fingers crossed on my car

Im looking to put my sixpack carbs on a modman manifold

I now have indy sr,s on my roadrunner and cant use the weiand sixpack manifold


I know you could maxwedge port them ,just didnt know what you where using

well just got back from qualifing for the Nitro Championships,long day for 3 runs.
Went on the dyno yesterday afternoon.
Got to say the results so far have been disappointing.Though i feel there is more to go.
On the dyno i ended up with close to 15RWHP down only 391/393.This is with the carbs 1-1 linkage.There was timing and jetting changes.
I seem to have a similar issue to what in that i just cannot get enough fuel into the motor,I have 1405 eddy's and the strip kit to suit.i ended up with #18 primary side setting and 2 steps richer on the secondary and still barely got into the high 12's AFR and with a silver step spring it would go low 12's on tip in.
the car drove ok but on light throttle had a little surge.this seems to have gone with a blue spring.
that's the dyno tell them about the dragstrip son
Unfortunately the same result,dropped between 1 and 2 1/10's.Plus a little MPH,could not get into the 119's
Most if not all the loss is in the 60'.i normally average 1.54.today i started at 1.572 for a 11.245@118.91,1.651 for a 11.332@118.95,11.628 for a 1111.328@118.91
i am fresh out of ideas today and won't have time to swap back on the old manifold.
i have to say the car launches really lazy and doesn't even pull the front wheels from looking at the video
thoughts appreciated
i'll just have to suckup having a slow car this weekend

2x4's are cool but not automatically faster or better. I have no doubt a single Dom and good 4bbl intake would drop my et a tenth or 2. You have to ask yourself do you want cool or do you want fast? That intake is a dual plane correct? For all out power you'd be better off w/ an M1 and a 950HP or Dom carb. I'm on the fence. I'll probably run the 6-pack this year and bite the bullet next year.

A member here was putting in 2 needle and seats per
carb on those...(Jake68 I believe) to get more fuel

Sell the 600's and put 750/800's on there. Use the off-road needle and seats as well. Or you can buy some Damon Kuhn AFB's and be ready to go out of the box. I tried 600's on a proven 451 combo and ended up with the same results as you. Put the 750's back on and never looked back.

interested to know how even your plugs look on each cylinder. surging is a lean condition. what size engine is this setup on?

Dan at Performance only made me a couple lids that match the barrel sizes of the 650 avs carbs. I use the chokes on the carbs and the car runs every bit as good as my daily driver now. its really amazing. the only thing I did to the carbs was change the pumps in the carbs. I dont have any dyno or track info though to compare it to my six pack setup I had on it.
