Thinking about selling my rear wheels to my Dad-in-law for his cuda so I can get a better offset for the rear of the Demon, do a spring mount flip, and tuck the ass up a bit. Who on here has a 10" wheel under a Demon with a stock A body 8-3/4? and what is the offset? Or am I stuck with an 8" wheel??

I have two sets of wheels 8" and 8-1/2" and use both under my
1974 Duster with SS springs and a lowering front spring hanger.

I do use a 1/4" spacer behind the rims for spring clearance.

The 8" rims have BF Goodright Radial TA 275/60/15 tires and
the 8-1/2" rims have Goodyear Radial drag slicks 9"X30"

The front leading edge of the wheel well opening has been
trimmed about 1" to 1-1/2" for tire clearance.

I have a Dana in the Duster stock width and I'm running a 10 rim with 5.5 back space. Now that said the springs are moved in and the tubs are wider. Befroe that though I had 10 rim on there but took a little work to keep the tire from rubbing. It was all stock at that point. Hope this helps.

You dont remember the offset on those 10s when it was in stock form do ya?

These MT ed drags are SOOOO hard to find, Im thinking of also just narrowing the rearend thats in the car 1.5" or so. Then My issues wouldnt be there. I think I can get a YUKON axle made to my spec, I have Yukons in there now, and like them.

Wouldnt be a terrible lot of work to take that much out of the rearend, I have cut them before, but not for a street car, It was in college and we had a jig LOL.

I want to say they where 6 or 6.5 back space. I could look when I get home.

my duster has a 9" from a mid 70s merc. it is real close to a 8 3/4 with welds at 6.5 back space.
springs moved in and wheel wells extended to the frame. plenty of room for 10.5 slicks. i run 30" and had the rear quarter cut at the center of the wheel well to the door and moved front 1.250" to clear the front of the tire.
it looks factory now with 30x10.5 slicks under.

Thanks DMKING

But I have the car painted and done already and that is way too much metal work for my street beater.

If I need that much tire in the future that can always be done later.
