440 mopar Chrome box mopar blaster coil holley street dominator intake with 750 Quick fuel carb mopar 487 cam stock manifolds with flow master exhaust. I've always run Autolite number 85 in 440's just wondering if i might need a different heat range with this set up.

The 85s should do the job. I've been flamed a lot for using Autolite plugs in a MOPAR, but - I use them in everything. Have thick skin, too...

I hear ya. Lot of people here seem to have a thing for Champion plugs. I quit useing Champions 25 years ago when i couldn't keep a set in my 12,5 to 1 440 more then a week before the tip burned off. My local speed shop recomended the 85 Autolites and i've used them ever since with out any problems.

Ive run Autolites in all the Mopars since the 60s.I switched to NGKs 3 yearsago in my built 440.Seems to run and idle better. That and they run cleaner.Champions I only run in the new Mopars. The NGKs were cheap also as a set of race plugs was only 15 bucks with shop discount at Advanced. My 440 runs 12.5 domes and a 1050 Dominator on the street.Rocky

I run a long reach in my 440 with aluminum heads. My kid has MGKs in his 413 but I have no idea what number they are.My buddy at Advanced just cross referenced mine and his to NGK numbers.I believe their web sight also has them listed along with Autolites,Champions etc.Ill be putting some in my 58 and 98 Harley soon also.Rocky
