2 years ago my son bought a 68 coronet with out engine and trans. After body work/painting it and putting everything back together we have a electrical problem. The only things that work are the brake lights and dome light. No dash lights or head lights.New battery and both cables. What to look for .

you could see if the dimmer switch has fire then either go downstream from there to the headlights or backtrack up to the headlight switch. www.mymopar.com has wiring diagrams/colors

brake/dome share same fuse. off battery circuit
lights are off the battery circuit too- no fuse- but all light power is thru the headlight switch- check to see if there is power there- look for burnt melted connector.

if no other power to ing. switch- check wires to it for same burnt.melted problems
