Are the jets and rods from the new Edelbrock AVS carbs interchangable with the older AVS carbs. Have a 69 GTX going on a chassis dyno and would like to have some jets and rods for tuning.

You can use them but they are not the same.

The original AVS rods are 3 step , the Ebrocks are 2 step as used in the earlier AFB's. You'll need to change the tin cover over the step up piston to a flat one or fill the dome of the stock AVS covers .

What John said. The EB kits work just fine if you swap the metering rod covers.
