So, after 5 years, divorce, parts sourcing and alot of storage time I finally got an alignment and got the car ready for Summer Cruising and Ocassional drag strip fun.

I drove the Black J code Charger to 75/80 last night. About 30 miles each way with my 6 year old son.

This is a pump gas 471 Hemi with Hydraulic Roller cam. 74 NOS block, MM sourced Rotating assembley, Porter groomed MP heads, Comp Hyd Roller and Stock intake and Carbs, built by Burtonsville Performance Machine. Dynamic- 9.5"/Correct Hemi Trans go with the A32 4:10 Dana.

I installed a big set of 295 MT Drag Radials to no avail.

1st: 12.83 @ 112- Shakedown/No Burnout
Adjusted Kickdown and removed ChromeDome.
2nd: 12.72 @ 113mph, 2.07 60'- Smokey Burnout/Blew tires away.
Dropped Pressure to 22psi.
3rd- 12.11 @ 113.5- 1.90 60'. Walked out of hole but spun. Felt much stronger.

Found Calipers leaking and need to Jet Carbs. Have Rocker Noise and will need to reset preload. I'm happy and now the real shakedown begins for Tune and dependability. I'm gonna do a CalTrac MonoLeaf for non Stock Tuning Mods.

Very nice! The 69 Charger is one of my first mopars. That 113.5 mph tells me that, you have 11.70,s in the bag with traction With more tuning even faster.

Nice runs first time out!

Thats a nice Charger. How was it at 75/80 ? I have not been there in years as I usually go to Cecil or Capitol. Ron

Thanks for the compliments. The Hemi really felt strong when the night came.

75/80's OK. I had good traction in the Demon there this year. The run off is traditonally short and the fast stuff only runs 1/8th. Pits need love as there is a lot of broken up asphalt.

Things seem to move fairly quick on Friday. They now have a Wednesday night. The track fills up later in eve and all the local farm kids are running their Diesel F250's and hanging around. So the crowd is kinda rowdy at night and kids are filtering in an out of staging lanes. I stayed out in pits til class was called to avoid the careless spectators. No evidence of fuel service and only a Tag-Along Trailer Food vendor so far this year.

Capitol is closed awaiting revamp. This will be exciting since they intend to bring National Events there.
Mason Dixon is a good quality Full Service track.
Cecil is awesome and so is MIR, but 2 hours out.

Love the car. There is only one way you couldn't have fun and that would be needing a tow home.
