The most interesting part of this is that we redid the engine the frist time reusing the customers old mega block. The block cracked a cylinder during the dyno session. Yes we sonic tested the block and was thick enough for the 4.530 bore that was used. All we did was replace the block with a Indy Aluminum block. It pulled more crank vac and made more HP than the iron block before it broke. We have a different ring combo for aluminum block we use every thing else was the same. So much for making less power with aluminum over iron blocks. This engine has the std cam core size and is not a rasied cam block. 4.750 crank, Crower steel rods, CP pistons, Predator CNC ported heads 1.8 rockers, our custom cam and Pro Systems carbs. If we did one like this again we would use a 55MM cam core, some extra porting and a better intake with Q-16 fuel. We used C-16 Fuel for this build.

am i actually correct in figuring back,, to see fuel numbers to say that at 6000 the engine used more fuel than at 7500?? by just a few lbs though,, at 6000 it peaked, then went down, and came back up to about that number at the end of the pull..

thats alot of power for those parts

is that just the way the carbs are tuned?

Pete,

Have you had a chance to see how good the cast tunnel ram works? I know it was a copy of somebodies sheet metal manifold but I was just curious if you guys have had a chance to try one.

I have the parts to put together a 596 with predators and I have the cast tunnel ram.

Great numbers!

Thanks!
