The JW billet flexplate is recertifiable where "The Wheel" is no longer.

What do you mean no longer? not certifiable or no longer made?

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

They can no longer be recerted. I used the TCI adapter for a few years with no real issues, except when I went to remove the adapter plate, the countersunk bolts with the hex-drive head were seized up and the hex hole stripped out. Had to weld nuts onto them to get them out. I now use the JW Wheel and also their bell. I do have a little trouble with the starter mounting holes having pretty loose threads.

Did your studs strip also. They use the fluted spline like those that come thru a rear housing and the chunk slides on them. mine just wore out and turned whenj tightened. now using the 1/2" plate the studs are tapped and secure

After reading this I decided to go with the Reid bell and case. It looks like the starter screws are tapped thru on it. Where did you find the Reid billet flexplate? I couldn't find it on their website.
