I have the VB out of my 727 replaing a few seals.

I want to adjust the bands while I'm at it.

Now that I have the VB out I see how the band adjustment works (I am a visual kind a guy).

I have read the FSM and think I understand how to adjust the bands. Is the a better / more acurate way to do it while the vb is out??

For the front band you can use the "feeler gauge" method, use a piece of 5/16" or 3/8" rod between the servo plunger and the lever and tighten the band adjuster so the rod will pass through tightly. A roller from the overrunning clutch will work.

For the rear band use the 2 turns out adjustment.
