I hope this is just a case of "I don't know what I'm doing".
This is only a 2.5" system, can't imagine a 3" install.

Can't seem to feed the tail pipe over the axle, tried both ways, front-to-back, back-to-front. I really don't see a way to snake it over the axle with out interference, the main cause is the sway bar.

At this point it looks like I'll have to:
-remove valance
-drop axle / leaf springs
-then reassemble

Which is a pain in the @ss because I need to have the valance on to align the tips.

And yes, I did read the directions and they do not mention problems with a rear sway bar.

Any other advice/idea?

Thx

Maybe just unbolt the lower shocks.

You have it blocked up in the rear using the framerails(not the diff) so the rear wheels and axle are hanging, right? I have 2.5 exhaust (not TTI) and I got it in by doing this.

I know I am stating the obvious, but I have done things before and had trouble and my cousin would point out the obvious to me that would make the job easier and all I can do is shake my head and wonder why I didn't realize that.

Good luck.

I installed a set of 3" TTI pipes on my Cuda about 4 years ago. I don't remember all the details but I do remember the tail pipes being a pain to get in. I did have to remove the rear valence to get them in. I did not have a rear sway bar so you might have to remove that as well (not sure). Maybe you can put the car up on jack stands and let the rear axel hang to give you more room (I can't remember if I did that or not, though I do remember I had the car up on 4 jack stands to give me more room under the car.)

Hope this helps. Let us know how it turned out.

I removed the shocks, and put them in from behind, but it was on a lift when I did it. That gave me the room from down to up.

I'll admit it, I'm an idiot, nothing is too obvious.

Once I disconnected the sway bar links and let the axle hang, I was able to slide the pipes in from the rear.

Thanks for the pic, this is going to be a PIA with the car only on jack stands.

Stay tuned for my next stupid question. At the rate I'm going this is going to be a week long project.

I had to drop the valance to get my 3 inch system in.

ps: Your mailbox is full, so I am unable to get your information to ship your XV belts earlier this week.

Dana60, are your top shock mounts in the stock position, seem much more angled in than mine? Although just laying on the rear end at the moment, I have the pipes routed UNDER the shocks?

See, I already have another question, gonna be a long week.

Exhaust on my Challenger is inside the shocks...

The pic is from a B body I did, shocks are in a different local but the theme is the same. The E body ones go under the shock and sweep to the side of the gas tank. You'll need to get the car in the air, even with jack stands, but not under the rear, but under the frame so the diff. hangs, and remove the shocks.
