csmopar OP member C Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 183 usa	I picked up a very rough 413 max wedge block today at a garage sale for 5 bucks. Its rough, probably will need maxed bored if not sleeved. I figured for 5 bucks it was worth a shot. My question is this, is it worth rebuilding or should I just scrap it? I know theres a few 413 cars around but most people opt for big brother (440), the rebuild is probably going to be $$$

(Old F--t, Huh)

I need to confirm the casting numbers yet, googling for those now.

Cab_Burge I Win C Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 43,375 Bend,OR USA	The M.W. blocks probally where the same casting number as some of the other blocks, maybe marine or industrail castings, maybe not The M.W.426 blocks where a special casting as there where no street 426 wedges sold until 1964 The real M.W. blocks I have seen and owned had special numbers stamped into the pad on the front showing assembly dates and high or low compression as well as other information pertinent to that motor Good luck Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. Are the cylinders notched?And what does it have on the ID pad?(should be HP something, with large fond letters) ALL this needs to be there for a real 62 Max Wedge block! Just my

That looks like it may be a weird block,assembled in late June of 1962 Mopar always shut the assembly lines down in the first or second week of June for the next year assembly line changes back in the early 1960s is what I was told by sells people when I wanted to order a new 1964 M.W. Plymouth in the spring(late April) of 1964 Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
