When installing a big block in an A-body using a modified late model A-body small block spool mount k-frame, will the center link from the small block k-frame work with the big block or is a different center link required?

I used the small block center link.My car was a 340 car and I didn't change anything in the front end except for brakes.

The later A bodies only have one style centerlink for each generation.

The centerlink doesn't care , or does it know, what engine is sitting above it , it's the same for a V8 or a /6 ... except for the pre 67 A bodies

I've heard that the later style center link provides more oil pan clearance than the early style. Not sure if this is true, but will be finding out in the somewhat near future..

The center link will work fine.. You need to use a C body pan with the notch for idler are clearance..

The late '73-76 centerlink will require the late Pitman and idler arms too. It mounts differently than the '67-72 ones do.

and the late pitman arm requires a 73 or newer steering box wit hthe large output sector shaft , you can't just changeover to the newer centerlink .
