I had to beat the heck out of the trans tunnel by the rear of the trans and I still don't have enough room so I've got some surgery planned for the tunnel next weekend. This is in a 71 Demon. Other may have had better luck though. I have to make more room in the tunnel anyways for the gear vendors OD.

John, I'm watching this one with interest. Could be in my future as well. Let me know how it goes or if you need a hand.

Hey John, sorry don't have my car home yet. It does have a TH-400 in it. The tunnel has a section that had to be removed to make clearance. The crossmember was also highly modified to fit it. If you are in no real hurry whem I bring it home in a cpl weeks can get you shots of both. Thanks, Ken Michalik

We have one in the small tire Barrcuda. It does have an fabbed trans tunnel however. I imagine to fit the required trans shield in a stock tunnel is gonna be a tough task. I can get you pics if you like.

John,
Mike & Jerry Rathburg have a T400 in their Duster. If I remember correctly, they had to do a bit of hammering on the tunnel and also had to remove the torsion bar cross member, inside of tunnel and replace it with plate, bent in the profile of the tunnel and rewelded in. Not a big deal.

Rossler 210 is the way to go these days. Awesome bullet proof tranny. Rossler trannies can handle 3000hp+ in 3500lb cars

There is one for sale in the race car parts section...

My motor is basically in stock location, and the Jw bell is sfi so no shield ls needed. Just a Trans blanket.

That being said, the Trans for great accept where the torsion cross member was. I also had to completely remove that. I replaced it with a removable tubular crossmember. I also built a new tubular crossmember for the tail shaft to mount to. I don't have any pics, but its a real slick piece with Heim joints that bolt got tabs welded to the sub frame connectors.

What changes did you have to make to put the glide in? Did you have to modify floor?
