After much hard work, I am pleased to announce that my E-Body parts website is up and running, at www.RestoMania.net.

With only a few exceptions (e.g. no slant 6 parts - sorry slant 6 fans), every E-Body part from all Chrysler Parts Catalogs, 1970 through 1974, has been manually entered into a database. The total is over 10,000 parts numbers (counting L/R parts individually), as well as over 500 images as of now.

I'm sure there are still some glitches and typos, what with so much data, but I've quadruple-checked everything and it's time to let it fly.

My day job has been keeping me pretty busy lately, but I'll try to respond to all comments, corrections, etc. if I can. It's best if you contact me at the website email address: restomania.llc@gmail.com.

I hope that my web site can help answer some of the questions that I've seen pop up here at Moparts over and over through the years. It was those part number questions that helped motivate me to build the site. Enjoy!

Doug Weber

What a great tool. So much easier to use than that CD I bought about 7 years imaged from the catalog. This has a useable, hyperlinked index and takes 1/10 the time to find what you're looking for. Nice job.

For part numbers containing a dash, such as

3548 530-1

this is short hand for "left and right side". The odd number is always the left side, and the even number is always the right side, with left and right being relative to the seated driver.

There are some exceptions, where the left side part number is even, and the right side part number is odd. Those are always explicitly listed separately. I guess someone screwed up occasionally when assigning the part numbers to the new pieces during the design phase. It was the sixties/seventies after all.

The parts manuals actually say "driver seated normally and looking forward". I don't know why they would need to point that out (driver seated normally but looking rearward??)

Also, if I have a picture of the part, I'll separate the listing into separate left and right entries, each with the appropriate image. Sometimes I can get away with just flipping an image to make the one for the other side. Keep in mind that the images are mainly an aid for part identification, and not meant as a reference for original finish, paint, markings, etc.

Thanks to everyone for the good feedback. I hope to be able to get back to working on the website in a little while.

Doug
