I have a chance to buy a 5.7 hemi out of an 05 ram with 70K on the clock. The owner said it lost all compression on two adjacent cylinders. I have my ideas on what could be wrong with it, I'd just like to hear other peoples ideas. Its a non MDS engine.

prolly valve guides...in 04 there were a few that made it out with bad timing chain guides but they failed with very low mileage. Got one myself with less than 400 miles on it that mother mopar did not call back for

Sure sounds like a head gasket.

I ran across many hemi trucks at local dealer lots being sold cheap because of low mile, bad engines, from about this vintage. You should be able to find all kinds of info on the issue online.
