I read the archives...but the procedure doesn't work. The column is out of the car. I've pushed and twisted, and otherwise tried tugging in every direction to the point I'm afraid I'm going to bend or brake something. Anybody know of a trick to get this thing off?

If you have the wheel with the round plastic emblem in the center of a triangular pad, use a small srcewdriver & carefully pry the emblem out & you'll find a 7/16 bolt ...

This is a 70 B-body wheel but the 68-69 is the same as far as how it assembles. After you remove the hidden 1/4" bolt (takes a 7/16" socket) then you will need a steering wheel puller to remove the rest of the wheel.

The bolt that holds it on is what you will find . Be careful picking it out the emblem damages easily
