i'm getting no spark from the distributor when I disconnected the connector to the pick up plate there is spark I replaced the pick up plate but still not getting any spark not sure what to do

Can you sub in an ECU & ballast from one of your other cars?

What kind of setup are you running? All I know so far is not points, so a 2 wire distributor.

Got it. The ECU wasn't grounded good enough to the frame, the bolts must have came loose. Used slightly larger ones
