OK...who can tell me that these three dimples are for? What plant, what dates were they used? Any info will help. Some cars have them and some don't.....whats up!!
The three dimples are located on the passengers side, straight up from the blower motor on the cowl.

Hi Scott, Hope all is well.
The Hemi car picture I posted had a date of 808 and there are no dimples. I have been looking and many cars recently and I can't find and clear cut date on when these were used.

As I mentioned, it was random in 1970, some had them, some did not, early cars less likely, later cars more likely but not definative. They used parts with no real inventory control back then, no "first in first out" as we commonly see today, it was not a mandated 1970 model year change, just a part that changed during 1970 production. Same applies to other 1970 sheet metal stampings like inner fenders and hoods with and without crush zones.

I'm the first to believe this....nothing was set in stone. but when you find something out of the norm I have to start thinking. I saw a car that I believe is an early car and it HAS the dimples. It is a Hamtramck built car.....can this be??
