Hi.
Just recieved the above but it's come with no instructions . I've found installations guides for BBC and Ford stuff but no Chrysler stuff.
Any pitfalls to look out for? Any clearance issues with KB blocks?
TIA.
Tig

There should be instructions on the Jesel website. If not, just download the instructions for the BB Chevy unit. The Mopar belt drive is almost identical to the BB Chevy belt drive. Both kits share most of the part numbers.

You might need to grind some clearance in the block. Best to mock things up before you install on a finished shortblock.

You WILL have to grind in the timing chain area of the block for the cover to fit. Pretty straight forward install just get the grinder out. I have installed at least 7 of the things in a Mopar BB/Hemi and all needed a fair amount of clearancing for the cover to fit. Although the KB stuff needed the least work for good fitment.

Watch out for the dots on the pulley. On mine they weren't even close. Put the cam at split overlap and you'll see what I mean. Mine was so far off you couldn't rotate the motor a complete revolution because the cam lobes hit the rods. Ended up moving it 3 teeth. From what I hear this is not uncommon.

As DVW mentioned, not uncommon to get a jesel set up that has been stamped (dots) with big block chevy indexing... i had one and have heard of quite a few others have also (will be about 3 teeth off).

It will be apparant if mismarked when you index the cam in..... is not a big deal, unless you just line the dots up ..... and let her rip

Mine showed up with a SB chevy belt. So make sure you have the correct belt, 31010 is the PN.

Thanks for that Rick. Mine turned up with a big block chev thrust washer.

I emailed Jesel, and they posted the correct washer straight out.

I just checked the belt part number, and its a 31010.

Just had a trial fit with the back plate. It appears not to need any clearancing at all
Where do you guys have to move material from normally

Probally the boss around the stock fuel pump pushrod passage That is the area needing attention on the conventional full cover gear drives like the KB and Milidons
