So, being realistic about this. I need some fittings for the car. I am working on plumbing the fuel line at the tank, including a filter. I want as few connections as possible. I am thinking push -lok hose but am open to anything.
I personally don't care for the red/blue anodizing. What fittings for for you guys? Black and/or clear anodized would be my preference, or even steel fittings would be fine with me. I want something that works and won't leak.
1/2 Line to 1/2" NPT in and out of filter, 1/2" out of sending unit.

best pricing RED HORSE the producer for the ones that Rousch uses. I hear but never see complaints about the cheap fittings

Fragola on the last project. The 60 deg. fittings are about 1/2 price compared to Aeroquip. They seem to be good quality.
Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

I didn't realize Aeroquip had a black option, I suppose everyone does at this point.
I have a mix right now for the carb, pump (mechanical), and regulator. Seems fine so far.
For the back of the car I want to keep everything the same brand. I know the AN purists will have something to say regarding real AN vs. "knockoff" fittings, so just wanted to see what is really is working for everyone.

I've done 3 cars with Russell Endura fittings with Jegs black cloth hose which is actually Earls PRoFlo 350.
The 350 hose... I assume it is rubber inside? How does it hold up long term (pump gas)? I need to decide what to use from the transition from pickup to hard line and hard line to pump.
Buy and use the Teflon lined hose It is stiffer and more expensive but it is way better than any of the neopreme or rubber type hoses. Teflon lined AN hoses have a 3000 lb burst strength, 1800 F heat rating and most liquids, fuel, deisel, brake fluids, hydraulic fluids and a lot of others fluids including a lot of acids, won't affect it

What is the method going from hard line to flex/braided? I see tube sleeves and nuts, so the nut and sleeve goes on, and you flare the end of the line? 37 degrees, correct? What about compression style fittings?
A step by step (and/or PNs) would be great, not done this sort of thing in automotive before, only ever just use rubber and clamps, no AN stuff.

Andy, This is a pic of the connector to use off the Summit site. Its also available in a female -AN side version. This particular one is an Earl's fitting.

Chad, long time! Thanks. Female version is what I need. I am digging up all the fittings between Summit and Jegs site right now. Summit's search stinks for these fittings.
Now if I can find it in black...

I think I found everything I need. I see there are a few hose assemblies available in various lengths with the Teflon lining. Might do one of those from the pickup to the filter to save some hassle and never have to worry about that section of line rotting. Thanks for all the help.

That is excellent advice, especially with todays pump gas. I was going to suggest this myself, except I am not sure if they make it in a black covering--and I don't believe the fittings can be had in black either (someone correct me if I am wrong). The fittings are a little more pain (and painful, LOL) to use, but nothing major. And you'll never have to worry about it.
I plan on using it for my main chassis line in my truck, it wont be seen anyways under most vehicles so it wont disturb the "black" look if you route the visible parts creativly with the other line if that's the look your going for.

I am not so fussy about mixing and matching colours of fittings. The lower prices and acceptable quality of the black fittings and lines have me switching over but I am not tossing out any of the earls and aeroquip fittings I have in the tool box yet
