Hey all,
Just wondering what suspension components interchange with b-bodies? I want to use 65 Satelite parts for mock up of aftermarket products but wasn't sure if these would interchange with all other b-bodies. Control arms specifically. Also, I've heard the front suspension is the same for b-bodies and e-bodies...how true is this? Would a control arm from a 65 Satelite bolt onto an e-body?
Thanks in advance.

Up until 73 B Bodies, B & E body parts will interchange.

73 and newer B bodes have totally different suspension.

Sway bars and K frames changed a lot but still bolt in. They may not work depending on the mixture of sway bar designs. You may need a matched set.

Since the sway bars changed the Lower Control arm mounts for the sway bar changed also but as said the LCA's will bolt in.

Non Sway bar LCA's are pretty much the same.

There are a couple of books that have all of that information listed in them. The books don't cost very much money and then you'll have the information in your hand when you need it.

Hey... I have a front stub for a 70 Belvedere, from radiator core support back to the torsion bar crossmember. It could serve as a model for any 68-70 B body application.I got it from a pal to use in the event that I wreck the Charger. I also have a spare V8 K member, various control arms, etc. If you want to use my stuff to mock up for fabrication let me know. The stub is easily transported in a full size truck.
The 70-74 E body is similar to the 71-74 B body in many ways, but as far as suspension, the B body went to a different K member in 73.
