I run synthetic oil in every thing I own including the diff, trans and synthetic grease in the wheel bearings. I've used Mobil 1 10W30 in my old engine and I'm using 5W20 in the new one. I may change that to 5W30 though as I'm just not secure with the lower oil pressure readings. I know it's enough pressure just never have run an engine with that little. Anyway Amsoil is also good just a little harder to get for me. "Follow me the wise man said, but he walked behind" '92 D250 Club Cab CTD, 47RH conversion, pump tweaks, injectors, rear disc and hydroboost conversion. '74 W200 Crew Cab 360, NV4500, D44, D60 and NP205 divorced transfer case. Rear disc and hydroboost conversion. 2019 1500 Long Horn Crew Cab 4WD, 5.7 Hemi.

Both look great when I tore em down to freshen them up after a LOT of passes and street miles. My engine trans and differential builders have all commented on how good the parts look on teardown. They have a wide variety of high zinc oils to fit any needs. Personally I use the 5w-20 Dominator series in my race car. Amsoil tech bulliten on flat tappet cams. Amsoil source & more info.
