What does it cost to have a crank turned or polished?

simply call a couple local machine shops. Most will just cut .o1o rather than polish. you can polish it your self with some emery paper and a leather shoe lace. wrap the emery paper around the journal then the shoe lace around that twice. then just rotate the paper by pulling alternatly in either direction. this is an old school trick and assumes that you have mic'ed the journals yourself and do not need to machine them.

$100.00 to $125.00 to have it index ground, oil holes chamfered, and journals polished in these parts. Balancing is extra.

A stone bargain. You could triple that where I live for that level of detail.
