Mine was only good to 4.06 for a nitrous motor maybe 4.10 for n/a. 2 cylinders had pretty bad core shift.

I've sonic checked a few X blocks for customers. Those blocks are usually pretty thick but Ma Mopar was a little lax in the QC dept back in the day. So you really have to have each block sonic checked before you make any decisions on overbore size.

If you don't have access to a sonic checker then just bore it to the next available ring size and call it good. Leave the walls as thick as possible.

all I can say is when I got mine from Kent Ritter he told me he had never seen 1 that wouldn't go 4.100 but the best way is to sonic it.

best so far 1.212 60 6.219 in 1/8 at 110.88 9.768 at 137.81 1/4

Sunset racecraft sonic checked mine, it had some core shift front to back. After cussing and discussing it we offset bored the passenger side about .050 to the front. With a bore size of 4.125 the thrust and non thrust are .250-.300, between the cylinders is about .120-.150 w/ one spot about .110. I've hard blocked it w/ a tall fill about 1.250-1.500 from the top.I'll use .030 offset cyl dowels to re center the heads. I ordered the pistons to match thanks to Rod at BPE. Rod is also supplying on of his big stroker cranks to go with this.

Thanks for sharing your experience guys. Hoping to go with a 4.100 with a 4.125 ultra lite crank for 435+ ci.
Jim.

His 43lb is $1950.00 and the 39lb,which I,m planning on going with is $2400.00.

And $1780.00 for rods.
