I am trying to replace the turn signal switch as it doesn't stay in position when the stalk is pushed. I have the wheel off and I am at the can. I have a puller but the bolts are not long enough to extend past the ribbed "can". I need to buy some all thread to make the extended "bolts" to reach in and screw in to give the puller the needed leverage. I can't figure out what thread pitch/size/ etc. I need to thread into those two holes. Does anyone know the size/thread count/ (fine or standard) which those holes are? I don't want to pry against the can as it is pretty thin.
Thanks,
Mark

I have two types of bolts with my puller, a fine thread and standard thread but neither are threading into the holes. I dont know if the threads were buggered or what, but I dont want to buy both all threads.

Sometimes bolts that long are hard to find in that thread size...just get some threaded rod,cut it to size, and use nuts and flat washers....

I used to carry around a puller that I cut the ends off of so it would fit down in the can.

Water pump bolts are handy to use at the junkyard if you forgot yours at home.

I just cut the ends off a cheap puller to fit inside the can too.
