What's the difference between a 1969 Road Runner hood with and without the air grabber? I know there is a screened insert in the hood vents but is the underside of the hood the same? Someone asked me if this hood is an original air grabber hood. Sorry for the bad picture.

Hood is same, air grabber or not.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I know there are reproduction air grabber boxes. Does someone make the screens that go into the air intakes?

What's running up/down the center of that hood in the photo?

Hood itself is same AG or not from the cars I've had; holes were punched where AG attaches in all of them, AG or not.

Screen material is available commercially; I've thought about offering them.

Your picture is a 69 hood as the sheetmetal has been punched out to make the scoops functional. On 68 hoods the sheetmetal isn't punched out because the air grabber wasn't an option that year. All 69 underhood sheetmetal is the same so an air grabber could be added from the factory.

Mark69 is 100% correct. 68 hoods are not cut out for air grabber

Can anyone share some pictures of the air grabber box and how it is mounted?

I think all 69 hoods are the same

and the 68 hood has an early versus late hood. with the late 68 hoods the same as 69 hoods
