I'm looking at building another throttle and kickdown cable for the hot rod. Last time around, I hacked something together. It worked but I was never satisfied with it.

How many of you have dealt with terminating cables and how did it work for you?

I've tried the cable ends with set screws and had temporary success. They always seem to slide.

If you're talking to keep them from fraying, I have super glued cable before cutting it.

I want to know how others have attached the end bits that keep the cable from pulling out.

I can't see youtube at work so that video will have to wait for a few hours.

On your way home pick up some silver solder & flux... I'm sure you have a torch...

Thanks for the link. One of the other links was a bit easier to see. I like this method: http://www.youtube.com/v/F-gY27LTU2c

Naturally, I have a torch at home as well as lots of scrap wood.
I'll have to give it a shot.
