3893765 is from a '75 truck with a 440...it has the medium length extension housing and rear timing.

Yeah, it's best to check the number. I bought a "rebuilt" MH 727 several years ago at a swap meet, it has the big universal joint on the back. Much later I asked about the numbers here and found it was a wimpy 383 transmission, I'm sure they just changed the tailshaft and did a stock rebuild on whatever was in there. My bad!
