Yes need an adequate pump shot; amt/duration. Is your initial in the ballpark along w pri jetting/float levels. No vac leaks?
live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Thanks for the feedback! If I go with a new carb, what CFM, 650 or 750? Mechanical or vacumn? My motor, 383, is stock but I have intentions of a slight upgrade like mopar performance camshaft 484 lift and aftermarket cast iron heads.
the 484 likes good compression, headers, 3000+ stall and 3.91+ to run right. If you go w/ a holley make sure you use like a 4.5 PV or close to it. Those cams do not pull great vaccuum.
