On last Friday I purchased a rust free 64 Savoy. it has a 318 Poly in it and a pushbutton TF. I know nothing of poly's. Is this the saem bolt batter transmission as a BB, SB or is it unique to the Poly. Trying to decide what to keep and what goes away.

Send it all away, FAR AWAY, to ME. Free of charge of course. Oh ya, free shipping too.

Why would you want to get rid of the engine and/or tranny? They can be fun and work fine.

Going to build a nice street car out of it. Thinking it would make a nice DragWeek car. If it is a BB bellhousing it will stay and we will use it, if not someone will get a SWEET deal on the engine and trans for sure. Oh yeah it's a Wagon

318 poly is an A engine, as opposed to a later 318 which is an LA engine. Trans will bolt up to a later 318, same bolt pattern, but still not desireable.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

it's a 727 for a small block they are the same same as a BB internally great tranny just need the TQ with the right splines or change the input shaft!!! The input shafts BB and A changed in 66.
Id keep it if you go BB there are adapter kits for BB to small!

All that poly needs is a stroker crank and .100 overbore for a bigblock smallblock. LA cranks drop in.

At least keep the typewriter drive.
