Here is a photo of the 70 reverse light location! It is the hole to the right of the air grabber switch.

The hole lines up with the oval shown in the frame.

The light housing is grounded to the dash frame.

How does it do that when its mounted in plastic? The oval hole in the frame is quite big...the light housing never touches metal...in a 68 - 69 car its in the metal frame but in 1970??

You should be able to make the light work very easily. On the metal socket that pushes into the light housing just solder a piece of wire to the housing that is long enough to reach the metal dash frame and solder a ring end on it and you should be good to go.
