Is there any reason to believe that 3/8 or -6 isn't big enough to supply enough fuel for 550-650 horsepower. Thoughts or comments?

Don.

Well I am pumping right about 600 hp and I have no problems with my 3/8 line. Even my sons Dart still has the 5/16 line on it and he has run 11.40's @ 117. Ron

no not if it's properly designed, it will work fine despite what the people that are trying to sell you stuff say

Thanks guys. I'm just doing some trans line and fuel line cleanup/upgrade/dress-up and i figured 3/8 and -6 is plenty. I do have a -8 feed to my carb from the regulator on the inner fender but that's just because the price was right. What do the FAST and SuperStock guys run?

I am running -8 (1/2) from the cell to the regulator. From the regulator to carb its -6. I have a single line from one side of the reg to a quickfuel -6 dual feed line for 4150 carb. The other port on regulator has a fuel pressure gauge in it. Aprox 465hp small block. Been running 11.03's and .07's spinning. New radial slicks are there right now so we shound run in the high 10's come test & tune this sunday. I thought about running -8 to carb but haven't needed it yet. This is with race gas. We are looking at running E85 so I will prob have to replumb when I switch fuel.

Ron Mancini went 8.85 with 2 carter elec fuel pumps and 3/8 line. Everyone said he needed more fuel system. So He spends 1500. on complete new system with -8 and never went any faster.

you could probably run 5/16 for that as long as you have a good pump. I'm running 3/8 line and a holley blue pump feeding a 6-pack and I'm pushing 600hp. No fuel issues at all. 3/8 line is probaby good for a low 10 second car.
