BIG-MIKE-500 ci member Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 42 Nelson-New Zealand	They did an item on Fox a few weeks ago. Tires older than six yrs were extremely prone to losing the tread or complete failure. There is a series of digits on the side-wall. Reasonablly long, & the last two numbers are the year of manufacture. Example is, 94 is 1994, 01 is 2001 etc.
