Cast iron with gasket or true billlet aluminum with gasket. As posted above, I stay far away from the chrome or any diecast version after fighting warpage and leaks.

cast iron w a gasket. W a fine file can drawfile both surfaces to get em flat (move the file back & forth w your fingertips like your scrubbing clothes on a washboard holding the file flat to the work). rag in pump or manifold inlet to keep filings out
