I jusr removed my rear package tray and noticed some light surface rust.What would you guys do......would you just wipe it down with alittle oil?? or a rust conditioner???

I would clean the area real well with a degreasing soap. Get your wire wheel and roloc and strip it down and paint it with some Por 15, KBS or Eastwood.

I'm really trying to just slow/stop the metal from getting any worse.I still have the rest of the interior in the car and I'm not looking to do a complete resto....just looking to spruse up the old girl for a few more years....

I see more greasy dirt than rust. I like to wash it off with some simple green and then water and get all that cleaned off there to see what it is really like. I don't see any rust level to be alarmed about.
