I've been told there are only 15x7 trim rings available for 8" rims. Yes or No ?

No 15x8 rings that look good or fit properly on them, tried just about everything, the 15X7's look good if your running 15X8 front anmd rear, the gap will bother you at first, nobody else seams to notice!

Everyone notices they just don't say anything
about it. 15 x 7 rings would be fine on 15 x 8 rim
if the extra inch of wheel is offset to the inside.

I agree with Dayclona. I tried generic Wheel Vintique 8" trim rings and they won't even snap on. When I called them they said the only trim ring that fits is the mopar 7" ring. And if you had 15x8's front an rear I agree you would never notice and I don't think anyone else notices with the 7"ers on the front an 8's on the back.

I was told that the 8" Corvette trim rings by WV were a pretty fair match and worked well. Anyone tried them?

So do I have to get the Mopar trim ring from a Mopar dealer?

Ran 15x7 trim rings on my 15x8 Rallyes and they were fine. My wheels and rings came from Summit, Wheel Vintiques.

The only Chevy I ever had was a 79 Corvette with 15X8 rallyes on it. I checked it's trim rings against the gennie 15X7 Mopar rings and they were the same depth. So no gain in using them.

I was told by Wheel Vintiques that they will not snap onto the rally wheel because of a difference in the taper and the depth of the well in the mopar rim.

So that IS a 15x7 ring on a 15x 8 wheel. If that is how they fit then I am definately going to get 8 inch Rallyes for the back of my car.

Chevy rings will not fit. I found that out the hard way. The 7inch trim rings are the only ones I know that are available. They were Wheel Vintques. Got them from Summit. Returned the chevy rings minus the one I banged up trying to it on. Called Summit before I sent them back, they called Wheel Vin who said we had to use 7inch Mopar rings

I have a set laying around, they are the 15" deep style. I picked them up at a swap meet they are in nice shape. If you are still looking let me know and I will let them go for what I paid ($50.00)+shipping.

These look great. What is the backspacing of the rims?
I've been reading posts on this all day and it seems everyone else who has put the 15x7 trim ring on a 15x8 has had a gap. I can't understand why yours don't? Am I missing something?

I just bought a pair of 15 x 8 (4-1/2" backspace) Road wheel from Classic Industries. I also bought the 15 x 7 trim ring but it fits like crap. The gap is over 1"! And the exposed part of the rim is black instead of chrome... so the black reflects off the chrome (of the spokes) and makes it look even more black down around the edge of the inner part of the wheel. I'm lost. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

(In case anyone is wondering, I'm trying to copy the look of the 14x6 road wheel with brushed rings, but with a bigger wheel)

First 15x8 with 4.5 back space will leave 3.5 to the front so you will end up with about a 3/4" gap.
The rims are supposed to have Black rings if you are mimicking Road Wheels.

A 15x7 rim from factory is 4 1/4 BS I believe so that would leave 2 3/4 front. That's why 15x7 trim rings leave no space, if you measured a correct 15x7 ring it is 2 3/4 not 3". Going by memory here so don't shoot the messenger!!!
