Have you tried shooting some white lithium grease on the hinges and springs?
The Imperial had the same problem until I lubed it.

RestoRick taught me that. Go to his website and he'll explain. Thanks to Restorick for that. He can rebuild your hinges too if they need it.
I had the same problem with my Cuda, the rear corners of the hood raised up. I could push them down, but as soon as I started driving, they would pop back up again. I started experimenting with the hinges before I painted it two summers ago, and found that if I tipped the hinges a little from back to front by raising the rear and lowering the front of the hinge a little bit, my hood would stay down - I don't even need to push the corners down after shutting it, they go down when the hood is closed, and stay down.
