Can I get some opinions on this dstributor? I need a distributor for my 440 and I have seen a lot of posts on here from people talking about using gm's hei modules. I'm a little leary about using a hei module system because I've replaced a billion gm modules in the last twenty years and only a handful of Mopar modules, but....I need a distributor and these are cheap. So what's your opinions?

Sorry, I forgot to post a link to the distributor. Here it is:

I like the standard Mopar electronic distributor. I don't care if it is an old 1975 vintage one or a new MP one. Some of the newer ones are easier to adjust the mechanical advance, but either one is tunable.

And parts are as close as you nearest parts outlet or even Mills Fleet Farms.

Yeah, I can get a Reman A-1 Cardone dist from O'Reilly's for about $50 and I've considered that too. I'm just not sure what to do. Would really like a MSD or some other performance dist but that just ain't in my budget. Figured this one on ebay might be a good alternative.

I would get one with adjustable advance either the newer style MP one(cheaper) or MSD.

Dodger you may want to consider looking on Ebay for a distributor. I've seen some real nice units on there lately for reasonable prices. In fact there is one that I'm seriously considering myself for my 440. Just a suggestion.

If you check the link above, it is from ebay. Almost all of the rb distributors I found on ebay were this same style, and what wasn't were dual-points. Maybe I'm not searching right? So far, the reman from O'Reillys is looking good plus it has a warranty. Thanks to all who have replied. Any other opinions out there?
