It will still need to be cut and buffed. We will then get the pinstiping on it, cant decide if we want yellow, green or ??? Then assembly with the less than perfect grille and tailights but until I find better they will have to do. Oh yeah get the engine, trans back in. New front springs again, O2 sensor work done, interior put back together, car rescaled, valvetrain back on, change the oil, and trans fluid then fire it up.

But no worries I have three weeks and only race all of them but the weekend before we are supposed to be in Fontana to race. Oh yeah I have to tear apart the other car to get it ready to race this coming weekend because I forgot about the broken flexplate I replaced at the last divisional last year is expired!! So out comes the trans for the new flexplate to go on...Anyone wanna fly out here and lend a hand

Oh just to ad fuel to the fire I bought another car Friday for our next project we would like to bring to the mats. But hey I have three free weekends between now and then. Sure am glad I have an understanding wife

Here is one more of the hood under shop lights, not in the booth.

I cannot see the pics because they are not an attachment. I'm sure it's nice and I'll look when I get home...unless someone wants to help a brother out with atachments?

Definitely a young man's paint job, as they have the energy to see all that taping through!! What's the plan for the wheels, the black just doesn't seem to work with that paint!

Billy I agree the black wheels gotta go. We have been thinking of redoing them a different color or maybe just doing the centers.

Will see what it looks like outside. Hard to tell much at all with it in the booth. The orange looks completely different under shop light, plus the purple is more vibrant in person than in the pictures. I think the quote was it looks like it is turned on in person:)

For now the wheels will stay on. To much racing the next few months to worry about it now as I am darn near broke now. Especially with a new project waiting. Hopefully by the time the MATS rolls around we will have something different done with them. But time is an issue.

Did I mention I tore the floor out in the motorhome as well

When the pinstriping gets done and the car is sitting in the desert sun, I'm sure that paint job is going to jump..

You and Steven did an excellent job!!

Thanks for the kind words by all. I am a very proud father. I think Steve nailed it with this. Then to consider it is the first time he has been in charge of the entire deal and getting it done, he did have some helpful eyes watching and helping him. But the fact he is only 22 and was able to pull this deal off is awesome. He deserves all the credit. All I did was a little metal work, help on some taping and paying most the bills. He even chipped in on that. It is still not done and I cannot way to see the finished product..

Here is another angle.
