I've been working on the pan for about a week with my buddy Edd. Learning a great deal on aluminum fabrication. Pan rails will be 3/8 with a gated sump similar to the Milodon pan. I made my own pickup and because of fast ratio arms I don't need the cuts at the rear of the pan. Almost finished with mock up and will clean up and go to a great welder to be done when he gets to it. Here's a few pics. Up next will be some UCA's. Mike

nice work. although i worry about an aluminum pan cracking if something hits it, vs a steel pan denting. just thinking out loud.

I'm using 3003 h14 aluminum on the welders advice. Says it is a little more ductile, will bend a little before cracking. It should be high enough that it will miss most things. Mike

Nice work! What's the wall thickness of the pan itself?

I would assume the game plan is to have it mounted to an actual block for the final weld, correct?

Looks nice

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

For this one yes. May make a fixture if I decide to do more of them.
