I love the Hotchkis Challenger it's exactly what I'm looking for in a good cornering street car. I have the TVS system on order now. So, I'm just going to copy it straight up but I need help locating everything they used to setup the Challenger. Does anyone know where I can get the following ? 6 piston StopTech calipers and 14" rotors 18" Forgeline wheels Coleman racing products 1.5:1 steering gear

Forgeline wheels This is the only vendor that I know of. I have never bought from them, they are active on pro-touring.com. Forgeline website is down, otherwise they most likely have a list of vendors. http://driverzinc.com/

Agreed, I have talked to their tech people alot in the past when I first built my dakota and found them to be very helpful. I really doubt they would have any problem sharing any of that info, especially with a customer that already has a full TVS system on order.

Most of what is listed seemed pretty typical, the thing that caught my eye is the Coleman racing products 1.5:1 steering gear....
I'd expect a gear ratio between 16-1 & 20-1 not 1.5-1...
So I did some searching & it appears this isn't actually a steering gear per say but a multiplier... So when used with a stock 24-1 gear it will act like a 16-1 gear.... Interesting & probably a great idea for a Slalom event or a Autocross.. But I'm not sure it's a good choice for a dual purpose road/track car....

I have 12 to 1 on my AMX. You DEFINITLY have to watch what you're doing on the street. Had an emergancy when some dip [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] in a Blazer was half way across the center line around a curve. I didn't crash it, but got close to the ditch.

Check out Speedway Motors or other big circle track supply places for good prices on those.
The tricky part to the quickner is the fabrication of installing it.

The two U-joints will cost as much or more than the reduction box. Don't know why they are using two U-joints.

So this unit strictly attaches to the column? The units I saw online had a mounting pad to attach the housing to keep it from spinning...
That pad is attached to the column. There are at least two flat stocks that run down the sides of the column, a cross bar/pad?. It was tough to get in there and take pictures. A lot of stuff in the way. There's more going on in there than what my limited pictures are showing.
The pictures show it can be done. But the picture don't exactly show how to do it.
