Typically driving crappy is due to other problems... What are you working on that has king pins? Having some trouble finding the correct reamer to size the bushings once installed. Mike Oh - I decided they needed replaced because the wheel had movement up and down when when wiggled, could see the motion was in the kingpins. Last edited by 1E2C; 01/22/12 11:20 AM.

But since you have to strip it down to shim it you may as well inspect the king pins and bushings. They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

moretoys top fuel M Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,728 ST clair shores MI	The other scenario is.Lack of grease and rusted, hard steering, noise, or can have memory steer.Make a turn- won't return to center on it's own,make a turn-continues to pull in that direction.If rusted like that,It will be a bear to get them apart.I've done a few old ford trucks that were so stiff,The p.s. hose blew apart.check for play,stiffness.

Kevin Probably true, but the machine shops near here are somewhat, shall we say, less than top-notch. I haven't really checked closely and kinda hope one can do it, but many of them tend to get cross-eyed if it's anything off the beaten path.

This is spot on information There is usually a retaining bolt on the back side of the kingpin in the axle to keep the king pin located, it needs to come out before trying to remove the king pins JC Whitney may still stock the kits for the new kingpins, bushings and reamers, maybe Speedway, Kramers and others also Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
