Need some tires for the truck. 1500 Ram 4x2. Want to get LT 265/75/16. Pep Boys has what they call "Definity Dakota" made by Cooper. Lookng for some real world feedback. Thanks

I've used Cooper Cobra GTs on everything from the wife's Volvo to the Demon and Cooper 10 ply Discover AT on the plow trucks with no problems.

One of the biggest problems with tires and "deals" are the date of the tires. Alot of people are not aware that most tires people buy are date coded, and if checked they are sold 2 to 3 years after they are made. Places that sell discounted tires buy large lots of these older tires and buy them cheaper than just made newer tires. There usually is not a problem with them. Ask the sales man if he can show you the date code of the tires and check it out on line.

I've not used the exact tire you mentioned, but did put Cooper Tires on my wife's GMC Yukon. The tires have decent traction, ride quality, etc. The purchase price was also very good. The only gripe I have is the rapid tread wear.

I don't know about their truck tires but I had a set of Coopers on my DD and they where by far the worst tire I've ever had on the car. Not only did they handle much worse than the Continentals they replaced, but they wore out quicker too. My Brother has also had the same experience with the Coopers on his Vue. Personally I would never buy anything from them again.

I've got that exact same size on my '02 Ram Diesel in a Kenda tire, made by Cooper. I'm happy with them, better than the garbage Goodyears they replaced. Now if they would just make the Kenda in a 305/75-16

Anything is better than the Good-for-a-years they put on at the facory. I replaced them on our truck with Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos on our truck, a little expensive but definetely an awesome tire.

I've run the Cooper GT's on everything from turbo Lebaron's to a 99 Dodge conversion van. Good dry, ok wet, just the treadwear goes away faster than you might expect.
I'm running Bridgestone Dueler's on an 02 Durango R/T, awesome dry/wet and very good treadwear.

I have the cooper st tires on my 3/4 ton diesel. They dont wear that bad, unless I am doing a smokey burnout to prove it can be done. Aggressive tread with little noise. Great in snow and ice. I have the gt tires on my dakota and they wear good also. My only complaint is the m&s line. They wore really fast. My st's have 20k and still look like new.

I have always said that they are the next best thing to chains in ice and snow.

have
discoverer HT's on
06 Ram 2500 Mega Cab 4x4
04 Grand cherokee Columbia
07 grand cherokee diesel

looking for a set of STT's for my Wrangler
Although will probably go with Trxus STS or dick cepek Crushers because they are significantly cheaper and more aggressive
