Wanting to know the difference between holley 4235 and 4236 carb. I know one is the left and one is the right, and they are jetted different. Is that it? From the outside they appear to be the same and the linkage would act in the same direction. The reason I ask is I am looking to buy a set of carbs but they are both 4236's and want to know with appropriate jetting if they will work on my car and if the fuel line is in the correct position. Thanks

I purchased my intake and carbs, both 4236's, from A&A Transmission. Rick didn't say one was the left and one was the right. I think they are both the same regarding the jetting as they don't operate in progression. If in doubt call Rick at A&A.
BTW, my engine produced 75 LESS h.p. with the cross ram vs. a single high rise and 850 Holley. Are you going for the look or for h.p.and torque?

I'm building a altered wheelbase 65 Coronet. I know the crossrams are a performance killer, just going for the look on this car. I fell into a smoking deal on the Intake and a set of the 4236 from a guy who is settling a estate. Thanks.

Carb. Primary & Primary Secondary Primary Secondary Primary
Carburetor Model CFM Renew Trick Secondary Main Main Jet Metering Metering Primary Discharge
Part No. No. Kit Kit Needle Jet or Plate Block Block Power Valve Nozzle

0-4235 4160 770 37-485 37-933 6-504 (29) N/S N/S N/R 125-65 .035
0-4236 4160 770 37-485 37-933 6-504 122-80 N/S N/S N/R 125-65 .035

(29) 122-75 Diaphragm side; 122-80 Throttle Lever side

I'm not sure if this will paste in any sort of order than makes sense. I'll try to copy the PDF file here as well, but I don't think I can attach those on this site. Basically the 4235 has different primary jets, 75 on DS, 80 on the TS.

I ran the 4235/4236 carbs on an original crossram, they were the staggered jetting, but Barton recommended 80s and .073s all around and that did run better. This is on a roller cammed 12.5:1 Hemi with about 200psi cranking compression.

Keep an eye on your fuel pressure.....keep it below 5.5psi. Those carbs don't like anything over that. Don't ask me why I know.

....there is nothing like driving my 1968 Hemi Dart around town and having people looking at you like you're nuts!!
