I have a 8.25 that was originally in a '79 Cordoba, that I'm putting in another application. There is a hole on the top,to the passenger side of the differential that I assume was for a vent tube. Does anyone have a picture of what it looked like,or know what other vehicles I can find one on (dakota,5th ave, etc.)

the hole is where the brake hose mounts, the vent is on the other side

The brake hose mounts on the driver's side axle tube, and just has a regular bolt holding it down.

I was thinking of just plugging the open hole, and finding a bolt that is hollow, and holds down the brake hose as well, like my '87 Ram had.

This is a rear out of a 79 volare. It should be the same setup. The hose is held on by a bolt. How about posting a pic? Makes it easier then guessing at it.

your wanting a vent/brakeline tee bolt like 8 3/4s use. if I understand what you asking.

I think you could convert that over with the 3-port brass block/vent bolt from a 8 3/4.

you may have to change the rubber line from the frame hard line to the brass block port.

i will see if I can dig up the line/block vent bolt i have for pics.

after re-reading..i think you just need the vent bolt from an 8 3/4

Thanks for the pics,I ended up going to the shed and the '55 stock rear that I took out of the truck had the same style vent tube, and was also the same pipe thread!
